How ferries work in the Philippines
There is no single ferry timetable for the Philippines. Each shipping line publishes its own schedules and fares, and the same route can be served by several lines from different piers.
Routes out of Cebu reach Leyte, Bohol, Mindanao and Panay, with overnight ships on the longer crossings and fast craft on the shorter ones, and short crossings reach Siquijor from Negros and Bantayan Island from northern Cebu. Each shipping line sells its own tickets and posts its own advisories; this site brings the schedule, fares and ports of each route into one place, with a link to the source.
Fares depend on the accommodation class, from open-air seats to business class and cabins, and discounts for students, seniors and persons with disabilities need valid ID. Baggage over the free allowance is charged by weight. Each page lists the fares as the shipping line publishes them.
Schedules can change around holidays and during dry-docking, and some trips run only on certain days of the week. Where the next schedule is already published, the page switches to it on its first day; where it is not, the page says so. All times are Philippine time in 12-hour format.
Typhoons and tropical storms can suspend sea travel, and trips can be cancelled when storm warnings are raised. Shipping lines post these advisories, and they appear here as a dated note when they were known at the time of checking.
