Cokaliong's dated sailings, 2 to 8 November 2026: one evening departure each way every date
Which ship sails on which night Cokaliong rotates three ships on this route, and the ship decides both the arrival time and the classes on offer. MV Filipinas Butuan arrives at 03:30 and has no Lounge; MV Filipinas Cebu and MV Filipinas Mindanao arrive at 05:00. The ship for each date is named in the note above the board.
Before you go to the port Cokaliong posts no advisories on its website. To check that your voyage is still on, call the head office on (032) 232-7211 or see the Facebook page linked from cokaliongshipping.com.

Rates are the same on MV Filipinas Cebu, MV Filipinas Butuan and MV Filipinas Mindanao and in both directions, but not every ship has every class: MV Filipinas Butuan has no Lounge, and only MV Filipinas Butuan has the three-person suites. Per room means the price of the whole suite. Cokaliong's FAQ gives free travel to infants up to 2 and 50% off the regular fare for children aged 3 to 11. Cokaliong's rates page leaves out port terminal fees, which is why this page gives no total. All fares in Philippine pesos (PHP).
Between Cebu City and Surigao City, Cokaliong Shipping Lines lists one departure from each port every evening on the dates it has published for early November 2026. The route is shared by three ships, MV Filipinas Cebu, MV Filipinas Butuan and MV Filipinas Mindanao, and which one you get matters. On MV Filipinas Butuan the voyage ends at 03:30, long before daylight; the other two are due at 05:00. The note above the board names the ship for each date.
In Cebu, boarding is at Pier 1, the berth Cokaliong's FAQ gives for its fleet, near Fort San Pedro. Cokaliong wants passengers on the ship two hours before it leaves, which for a 19:00 departure means being on board by 17:00. In Surigao the company publishes the port but not a berth.
Fares do not change from ship to ship: ₱1,320 for Economy, ₱1,560 for Tourist and ₱1,920 per person in the shared cabins. What changes is the layout. MV Filipinas Butuan has no Lounge class but is the only one with suites for three at ₱6,840 per room; MV Filipinas Cebu and MV Filipinas Mindanao sell Lounge places at ₱1,500. Shared cabins range from six berths on MV Filipinas Cebu to sixteen on MV Filipinas Mindanao, and every ship has two-person suites at ₱4,560 for the room.
Tickets are sold at Cokaliong offices and authorised outlets, no earlier than two weeks before the voyage. If you start in Economy and want a better berth, the FAQ allows an upgrade at an office or outlet by paying the price difference. A ship nurse can be called to help senior citizens during the trip. Pregnant passengers need a medical certificate saying they are fit to travel by boat on that date, and anyone with a serious illness needs one as well.
Meals are not part of the fare; each ship has a canteen. Terminal fees at either port are not published on the rates page; ask about them when you buy the ticket.
- Arrive at the port well before departure; some shipping lines ask passengers to check in up to two hours ahead.
- Check the shipping line's advisories on the day — typhoons and storm warnings can cancel or delay trips.
- Check baggage limits and pet rules before you travel; excess baggage is charged by weight and pets need permits and a cage.
